5 new Instagram filters hit the app recently.

And they rock!

I'm telling you -- Instagram nailed it with these new filters.

Photo filters are one of my favorite parts of Instagram. They let newbs like myself add amazing effects without having any real knowledge of photography.

So cool!

I just tap on the screen & my pic looks like it was shot by a professional photographer.

Can't beat that, right?

And Instagram hasn't added new filters in over 2 years. So here are the 5 new filters.

The new Instagram filters include:

• Slumber
• Crema
• Ludwig
• Aden
• Perpetua

In this post, I used the same photo of my daughter to show each new filter.

Here's the original Instagram photo with no filter:

1. Slumber

Here's what the same pic looked like when filtered through Slumber:

The Crema filter made the photo look like this:

Along with adding 5 new filters, Instagram also made it easy to manage the filters on your account.

Finally, we know that everyone has their favorite filters. We want to keep things simple as we add more, so we’ve added a new 'Manage' button at the end of your filter tray. Tap it to re-arrange the order of your filters and hide the ones you rarely use.

I think these new features will keep even casual Instagram users coming back for more.
