The Easiest 3-Step Social Media Marketing Guide You've Ever Seen
1. Pick a Platform
Every social media website is different & you have to decide which platform will work best for your business.
That's the first step to getting started with social media marketing.
Not every business needs to have a Facebook page!

Many businesses end up spinning their wheels on Facebook. Some get so frustrated that they just give up.
Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or YouTube might work better for you.
Focus on one social platform for 3 months to get an idea if that's the right audience for your business. You may need to try a couple different platforms before deciding which is best for your marketing objectives.
For example, my uncle runs a funeral home. They have a Facebook page -- but rarely post.
And updates from funeral homes probably aren't what most people want to see in their news feed (although their page has 65 check-ins!).
Google+ might be a better place for a business like that, which is focused on local customers & local search results.
Once you decide which social media platform to focus on first, become an expert on that platform before expanding to 2 or 3 other social networks.
Businesses that are new to social media sometimes make the mistake of trying to do too much too soon -- and they end up not doing anything very well.
2. Be Consistent
Once you've decided where to set up, it's time to post!
Get ready to work. If you're not prepared to post regularly on social media, your business shouldn't be in the space.
The worst thing you can do is start a Facebook page, get a few hundred Likes, post for a few weeks & then not return to the page for the next 3 months.
Don't do it!
It's a lot harder to revive an abandoned page than to start fresh with your social media marketing at the optimal time.
Create a posting schedule or content calendar -- and stick to it!
If you want to post twice a day, plan the posts in advance & use a scheduling tool like Post Planner to automatically publish the content when you want it to appear on your page.
This will help those who follow your page get accustomed to regular posts. If you publish great content, your fans will return again & again.
The amount of interaction on your page will also increase if you post entertaining content that makes people want to engage.
And make sure to interact with those who share & comment on your posts.
3. Take Risks!
On social media, you don't aways have to talk business.
Your audience must be entertained if you expect them to connect with your company online.
Post extraordinary photos, funny memes & controversial topics that'll get people talking.
I used Post Planner's Viral Photos tool to find the silly image below.
Did I know that over 100 thousand people would share it?
No.... but the post has now reached over 10 million people!
Take a risk!
The results might surprise you.
Take it Slow
These 3 steps will make it easy for you to get started on social media.
Just remember to take it slow.
